Best Sites on Top

  • Each time you search with us, patent-pending 7MetaSearch.com searches all top-rated search engines simultaneously. We reward all web sites appearing in the top 10 positions of each search engine with TOP 10 awards and place the sites with the most awards on the top of our return lists.

  • Each search engine uses a different algorithm to find and place the most relevant web sites on top of its search return lists. Since we reward the top 10 web sites of each search engine that we use, relevant sites automatically move to the top of our search return lists, getting you to what you need faster.

  • Non-relevant web sites disappear or move way down our lists.

  • Find the most popular sites always near the top of our lists.

We gave questions from the popular TV show to several people who used top search engines to find the answers. 7MetaSearch.com returned the answers at least three times faster than its closest competitors did -- an average of 21 seconds. While searching any of the other eight top search engines used in the study, such as Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN, Excite, HotBot, Lycos, Northern Light and InfoSeek/Go, our investigators took from three to 10 times longer to locate the answers on our competitors, anywhere from two minutes and 10 seconds to two minutes and 33 seconds, depending on the search engine used.

See table with survey below.

When searching for these topics by name, 7MetaSearch consistently returned official web sites closer to the top of its return lists than any of the other top search engines:
  • Personalities in the arts, sciences, politics and more
  • Fortune 500 companies and not-so-popular smaller companies
  • Sports teams
  • Television shows
  • Movies just released or those that grossed over a $100 million

The findings of the study reveal that on the average their official web site appeared 2nd on 7MetaSearch.com search result. All other top search engines including Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN and AOL returned the same site although appearing on the average in the 27th position. In many instances, this meant scrolling through pages of return lists to locate the site that 7MetaSearch returned on top.
